Sweet Bocas UNESCO World Heritage Site

Sweet Bocas is a destination for a truly modern traveler. Discovery is part of daily life in the westernmost part of Panama where there is an archipelago known as Bocas del Toro, which means “mouth of the bull.” Legend has it that back in 1502  the sound of immense waves crashing against volcanic rocks reminded conquistadores of the roar of a bull hence the name Bocas del Toro. For centuries this archipelago was home to  native tribes and freed slaves building communities, pirates and buccaneers looting and burying treasures, as well as conquerors and merchants looking to establish themselves.

Today, found on a private island in a UNESCO World Heritage Site archipelago in the northwest of Panama, Sweet Bocas is the very definition of secluded, tropical paradise.  This private overwater villa and organic farm is on one of Bocas Del Toro’s pristine, jade-colored bays.  It is a self-sustainable oasis located on the Caribbean coast of Panama.  Located nearby are some breathtaking beaches that are only 15 minutes away and accessible by a complimentary boat ride!
