Golf in Punta Mita with Palmasola

Palmasola Is So Close To The Tail Of The Whale That It Is Only A 5 Iron Away From Your Suite.

The exclusive Punta Mita resort in Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit was originally designed as a golfing destination. For that reason, it continues to attract golfers from all over the world to enjoy its two world-class courses. Both the Pacifico and the Bahia are Jack Nicklaus Signature courses, and given that “The Golden Bear,” Jack Nicklaus is one of the greatest golfers of all time, this guarantees both beginner and experts a fantastic game.

As guests of Palmasola one can tee off on both palm-filled courses and enjoy all the amenities of the exclusive Punta Mita Golf Club during a stay. And with the famous island ocean green the Tail of the Whale visible from our luxury Punta Mita villa, one can work out how to tackle it before even getting there, playing golf in the mind as one relaxes on the beach.

PACIFICO COURSE

Spreading across 200 acres, the 18-hole Pacifico course has holes that boast incredible views over Mexico’s Pacific Ocean and others that let you admire the stunning Sierra Madre mountains. Opened in 1999, it is a classic course that is both beginner-friendly and challenging for experienced golfers. It is this course that has the famous Tail of the Whale, accessible during low tide, a unique and memorable island hole that you will definitely want to play.

BAHIA COURSE

The newer of Punta Mita’s Golf courses, Bahia opened in 2009 and is suitable for more advanced players due to its undulating character and strategically placed bunkers, which makes it both challenging and enticing. With five holes to be enjoyed along the Pacific Ocean and two with panoramic views, you have a good chance to spot whales breaching offshore (from November to March) as you work to improve your handicap. Both the Bahia and the Pacifico Golf course receive annual acclaim from the top names and magazines in the golfing industry.
